Artist Statement:
I am a watercolor artist and a painter. I have loved creating art since I was a child and will continue to do so until I’m too old to hold a paint brush or pencil. I mainly work from photos that I have taken for my subject matter and inspiration. Transparent watercolors on paper are my primary medium but I also do some abstract collage using a combination of watercolor, acrylic and various acrylic mediums.
My goal is not to create a photograph but a painting that is my view of the subject. I always hope that what I have done will speak to the viewer and make a connection that reflects their feelings for the subject as well.
